Often, when my brain is idle, I wonder which way our country is headed. I look around and there are problems which need to be solved everywhere. It wouldn’t be a pessimistic point of view if I say that most of these problems seem unsolvable.
In reality, this is the mother of all problems. The fact remains that we pass on the baton, called problem, freeing ourselves of any emotion we may have felt towards the problem.
Actually, what are you freeing yourself from? Have you ever actually felt any guilt on your part? Have any of us actually accepted -the- problems as -our- problems? Most likely the answer is a meek ‘no’. Most likely we are all so absorbed in our own little world that we don’t even want to step out and see what difference we could make, if we ever felt like. The truth is, in the deepest corner of our heart, we wish that there was something we could do to make a difference but well…who has the time?
Say hello now to the grandmother of problems. The absence of initiative. Yes, initiative. All of us are familiar with this problem. When we find our self struggling to choose between the blanket or the toothbrush, to shut up or to speak up, to ignore or to react and many such choices in a day of our everyday life . In a single line, the choice between what’s right and what’s wrong. The choice between the initiative in the right direction or not. Often, the harder choice is the right choice. This hindrance is probably the only bridge we have to cross before we make it from the oblivious side to the awake and aware side. It is the start that is required to initiate the crossover. Let us start by accepting that we have made many wrong choices in our short lives. We have chosen the easy way for a very long time. Each one of us has to take the initiative to make a difference sooner or later. It is the first step towards becoming a more satisfied individual.
